'Worn by You' with Jen Fuller from Etta Loves

The second of our 'Worn by You' series delves deep into the fashion tastes of the utterly fab Jen, boss lady of Etta Loves. Etta Loves are functional, developmental, and super stylish muslins. Designed to the millimetre to help your babies eye development, I literally cannot think of a reason why not every Mother should own one. It just so happens that Jen is super stylish herself, so I had to interview her for this series.

How would you describe your style?

Classic with a twist. I love a well cut pair of trousers or a beautifully made shirt or dress, but I’ll always aim to add something unexpected to my outfit.

What are your wardrobe staples?

Jeans, black and white shirts, pleated skirts, wide leg trousers, fine knits in multiple colours and lots and lots of flats.

What’s your most loved item in your wardrobe?

Probably an equipment shirt in leopard print – it’s a beautifully soft silk and always makes me feel put together whatever I wear it with.

Favourite stores to shop in and why?

I love Zara for trousers, Uniqlo for their knits and shirts, and Selfridges for a general mooch and inspiration.

Do you have a celeb style crush?

Olivia Palermo, she’s often so spot on.

Where do you get fashion inspiration from?

People on the street, Instagram, and magazines when I get a moment to thumb through them.

What fashion trends are you loving for the Autumn / Winter?

I’m loving all the red, it’s such a fun colour to wear and I already have my red trousers at the ready! I also quite like the heavy knit with a pretty skirt look – I think it’s quite wearable for everyone.

Who should we be following on instagram for style inspiration?

I recently enlisted the services of @thestyle_coach to revamp my wardrobe and make it work for my new lifestyle, but I also love Erna @mercer7official and @bornatdawn_ and also @soniafrancex

Would you say your style has changed since having a baby?

It’s had to unfortunately, but it’s meant that I’ve had to hone in on my style to make my life and outfit choices quicker and easier to look put together. So I try and buy things which are a little more timeless and which are quite mix and match with most of my wardrobe – it makes getting dressed every day so much simpler!

Do you have a favourite Etta Loves design?

Of course not, they’re all my babies! The leopard and starfish are pretty damn gorgeous though and the new fern and tree rings from the Etta Loves Plants collection are something else!

What are you working on right now for Etta Loves?

I’m awaiting delivery of the new plants range and am working up a fabulous collaboration which I can’t talk about right now – but it’s set to be an even more exciting 6 months for us.
